National Grid Large Business Programs

National Grid promotes and provides Technical Assistance, ASHARE level I and II Energy Audits, Retro-Commissioning, and other engineering services to its customers as part of its Gas & Electric Energy Efficiency programs. National Grid Account Managers partner with qualified Technical Assistance Consultants to help identify, evaluate, and report on potential electrical and natural gas Energy Efficiency measures in customer facilities throughout National Grid service territories in upstate New York, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island. The New England program includes combined heat and power (CHP), New Construction, Retro-Commissioning and ASHARE level I and II Energy Audits.

EME Group is an independent contractor providing Technical Assistance Consulting for the National Grid Commercial & Industrial program. EME in partnership with National Grid provides engineering services to assist facility owners and managers identify, evaluate and implement energy efficient upgrades of existing systems and equipment. Energy efficiency opportunities are identified through a Scoping Study that involves a facility walk through, interviewing building operators and maintenance staff, utility bill analysis and benchmarking. Under direction of facility management a detailed Technical Assessment of the opportunities identified in the Scoping Study are thoroughly examined to determine implementation cost, energy savings, return on investment and incentives. National Grid provides a fifty percent cost share of the Technical Assessment as well as electrical and natural gas incentives for qualifying energy efficient upgrades.
