About EME Group Michael Stritch, PE, CxA, LEED Michael Stritch is a licensed Professional Engineer and Certified Commissioning Authority and is our Director of Commissioning. He oversees our commissioning projects that have ranged from a 5,000 square foot retail store to an 800,000 square foot manufacturing facility. EME’s approaches commissioning in accordance with procedures outlined in ASHRAE’s “Guideline 0-2005, The Commissioning Process” as well as complying with the US Green Building Council’s LEED requirements for Fundamental and Enhanced Commissioning. Mr. Stritch directs his staff of engineers through all aspects of the process from developing the initial Owner Project Requirements through project close-out. He is responsible for maintaining project schedules, quality control and commissioning deliverables. Mr. Stritch is currently managing a retro-commissioning (R-Cx) project at 27 New York City public schools. The New York City Department of Education (DOE) is the largest K-12 school district in the world and serves over 1.1 million students in 1,700 schools. DOE selected recently upgraded schools with building management systems for the R-Cx program. Mr. Stritch and his team of engineers first surveyed the facilities and identified any required repairs that needed to be done to facilitate R-Cx. After the repairs are completed, we will perform detailed testing to identify operational improvements such as enhanced equipment sequences of operation, improved schedules and set points and faulty sensors and actuators. Mr. Stritch obtained his Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from the University of Limerick in Limerick, Ireland. |
